The college of Southern Nevada baseball program is one of the strongest in the country.

Athletics are taken seriously at Southern Nevada. The college of Southern Nevada baseball program is the longest running athletic program at the school. The team name is the Coyotes, and they have consistently finished at or near the top of their conference.

In 2003, the college of Southern Nevada baseball program won the National Junior College World Series. Coach Nick Garritano, is an established coach with great success around the baseball circuit. In terms of producing talent, Bryce Harper, the first pick in the 2012 baseball draft, played his ball at the college of Southern Nevada baseball program.
